1996. Nada extremamente importante aconteceu , a não ser o fato de que um certo bebê na piscina nos convidava involuntariamente a entrar no caminho tentador e inescapável da música. Uma Washburn Lion plugada no som de casa , um par de réguas , pôsteres de gente esquisita e o sonho , como de qualquer instrumentista principiante , nos fizeram montar nossa primeira e única banda de rock. Com uma trajetória longa e complicada , após várias formações , músicas e estilos diferentes , a banda já nomeada Kingsizebox finalmente ganhou forma com entrada do seu atual baixista Xan Nagazawa, que se juntou na gravação do primeiro EP de autoria e produção totalmente independente. Hoje as principais influências são claramente percebidas , porém a diversidade entre nossos estilos musicais preenchem o espaço que completa a identidade. Kingsizebox oscila entre o rock agressivo , melancólico , psicodélico , grunge. Estrapolamos pelas noites solitárias no Skytrain , por sentimentos de nostalgia, por fantasias infantis , desconforto e fuga , por questões socio-políticas , pelo prazer de sentir o vento na face , pelo amor e ódio , bairrismo , desejos inalcançáveis e também situações ridiculamente cotidianas. 

 

 

1996. Nothing extremely important happened but the fact that such a baby in the swimming pool would unconsciously invite us to the tempting and inescapable path of music. A Washburn Lion plugged in home’s sound system , a couple of rulers , posters showing weird people, and the dream , as of any newbie musician , made us to form our first and only rock band. Within a long and complicated trajectory , after different forms , songs, and styles , the band already named Kingsizebox got its odd shape when the newest bassist , Xan Nagazawa, joined at the recording of the totally independent first EP. Nowadays , the influences are clearly noticed , although the variety of genres fulfills the space and completes its identity. Kingsizebox swags from aggressive rock to melancholic , psychedelic , and grunge. We get through lonely nights in Skytrain , nostalgic feelings , childhood fantasies , misery and escape , socio-political issues , the pleasure of the wind blowing on face , love and hate , unreachable desires, and also stupid daily situations.
